Encaustic Art is the art of melting and manipulating coloured beeswax on to heat resistant paper to create a picture. Sara has developed this technique to provide a wide range of pictures for you to collect. Every one is different and unique with its own special qualities.
Once the colours are melted together and cool, the wax hardens and the colours become extremely vibrant and vivid with a beautiful sheen, giving a 3-D image to the pictures.
While looking (and making) the pictures you get carried away with your imagination and enter a ‘fantasy-like’ world. It is very effective and great fun!
